About the Series

THE COMPLICATED CONVERSATION WORKSHOP SERIES was developed in 2013 by Dr. Limarys Caraballo, currently an associate professor of English Secondary Education at Queens College-CUNY and consortium faculty and Deputy Executive Officer in the Urban Education doctoral program at the CUNY Graduate Center.

The series addresses the rich and complex benefits and challenges afforded by a diverse student body, faculty, and staff via workshops and seminars on a wide range of topics, such as the intersection of students’ raced, classed, gendered, and abled experiences in schools, at Queens College, and in society at large. Since 2013, the Series has been sponsored by the Department of Secondary Education and Youth Services and supported by the Office of the Provost and School of Education at Queens College.
